A Help Up was founded in 2018 by Kynisha Kirk, a former victim of domestic violence. Kynisha endured years of abuse and was afraid to leave, fearful of becoming homeless, broke, and alone with nowhere to turn with her 3 young children. Although she had a job her abuser controlled all money and resources.
