Founded in 2018
A Help Up was founded in 2018 by Kynisha Kirk, a former victim of domestic violence. Kynisha endured years of abuse and was afraid to leave, fearful of becoming homeless, broke, and alone with nowhere to turn with her 3 young children. Although she had a job her abuser controlled all money and resources. After praying asking GOD to help her out of her situation, something great happened. A friend provided a home, a vehicle and funding to help Kynisha get into her own home. After receiving these blessings Kynisha made a vow that she would help other women by providing resources to aid in becoming self sufficient.
